Our annual minor release of the PTV xServer 1.14.1 is just around the corner. We expect it to be available in August 2012. Although it is only a minor release, there is a bunch of great new features included. And again we managed it to be downward compatible. Here are the most important ones:
PTV xRoute Server
- New algorithm to calculate more accurate isochrones on a tile basis
- Report of explicit speed limits in the segment list of a route
- Extension of the ecotax in France (possibility to avoid the tax and to consider a discount in some regions)
- New factors for the emission calculation according to CEN (European Committee for Standardization)
PTV xTour Server
- New analysis of unscheduled orders to get reasons why
- New planning possibility to amend tours with unscheduled orders without creating new tours
- New algorithm to optimize the vehicle-tour allocation on a cost basis
- Four new proposal functions to support a planer with more alternatives (e.g. in which tour could a new order be scheduled and which is best?)
- Extension of the loading period calculation (e.g. loading functions at depots and orders possible)
- Considering the loading gauge (length, width, height, weight) of orders
- Considering orders demanding a co-driver
PTV xLocate Server
- Improved geocoding of addresses in North-America
A long awaited feature concerning allĀ PTV xServer is the 64-bit version. Additionally to our well-known 32-bit version, we plan to offer in August a 64-bit version as a preview. You are cordially invited to test them intensively. We would appreciate any kind of feedback. (by e-mail, comment on this post or in the forum)
The final release of the 64-bit version is planned for the PTV xServer 1.16, then you are able to choose between the 32- and the 64-bit version. Of course, the 32-bit version of the PTV xServers 1.14.1 still runs under a 64-bit operating system.
In August we offer free online presentations (webinars) to explain the new features. Are you already registered? Visit our webinar website here.
