The following information is important for all PTV xServer on-premise solutions using dynamic content that requires your immediate attention. Please note this blog post for PTV xServer internet.
The PTV xServer 1 and 2 get dynamic content like the current traffic situation or toll updates via the PTV Content Update Service (CUS). This CUS is usually installed and running in the same local network as the PTV xServer and gets the content from the PTV Layer Delivery Server (LDS) hosted by PTV.
We are writing to inform you about an important update regarding the LDS: The URL changed from ‘lds.ptvgroup.com’ to ‘lds.ptvlogistics.com’. The old URL will be permanently deactivated at September 30, 2026. For the new URL ‘https’ is obligatory.
What do you have to do now
You have to update the configuration file of the CUS when using a version before 2.34.0. We recommend to use the latest CUS version which contains the new URL in any case.
After September 30, 2026, LDS access will only be possible via the new URL. To avoid last‑minute issues or unexpected downtime, we strongly recommend completing the update as soon as possible.
