Good news for the developer components community and customers: the new PTV xServer 1.12 are released. Pls let me take the chance to give you a short overview what is part of the above mentioned release.
Variable toll calculation: consider future toll-rates now
Calculate your current and prospective toll costs now in advance and even more exact. Using the new PTV xServer 1.12 enables you to incorporate already decided changes of toll (e.g higher rates or new toll areas) in your calculations. This enables you to be informed today about the upcoming toll changes, based on the date related valid toll rates.
Emissionscalculation: Integration of elevation data
This function enables you to provide reports about all global warming gases and further harmful substances according to Greenhousegas Protocol (GHG). The quality of the PTV xServer emissions-reports were further improved by the implementation of the HBEFA 3.1 database. This enables the PTV xServer to consider uphill slopes and declines of the planned tour. And of course tunnels and bridgets are included to avoid miscalculations.
Improved geocoding by Singlefied Search
This new feature within the PTV xLocate enables you to improve the usablity of your searchfunctions in your applications by displaying a selection of geocoding results during the entry process.
Extended Traffic information provided by the Traffic Incident Info
With the extension of the real-time traffic information PTV improved this services portfolio. These Traffic information is exact-to-the minute and allows the consideration of short-term traffic problems. It enables our xServer-customers to offer a service for traffic jam avoidance or for example a best starting time calculation supported by further routing functions (pls. note: this feature is currently not offered for the MapServer). But as mentioned before: here we have real-time data, no historical data. The dynamic traffic information is available in the following countries: Austria, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, France**, Belgcountrym**, Netherlands** (** Available by end of april 11)
Tracking Premium
Last but not least we improved our tracking functions by this new feature. Tracking Premium affords the re-location of tracks for recalculation on mileage or check of speed limit violations.
So that´s it, so far. As you can see this release offers some interesting new and/or improved functions. Now pls. let me take the chance to give a big thank to the complete team for their excellent work, especially to our development department and our 2nd level support.
During the next week the production of the DVD will start and it’s planned to deliver the first packages asap.
